Hello! It's nice to meet you.My name is Julianna.I am the owner and baker at Vines, a small batch artisan operation that got its start when I finally listened to my heart instead of my head. Vines Bakery started as a day dream while I pursued my education degree from Ashland University. Upon graduation, I realized my passion for traditional teaching slipped away and I was left with no plan B.
Slowly, I began the journey of rediscovering my childhood love of baking and my passion for hospitality. After endless encouragement, I took a leap of faith. I started at the Ashland farmers market with a simple scone in 2016 and the business grew. For almost 6 years we had a small staff of incredible people come alongside our little business in our own storefront. Each of their unique gifts and talents helped Vines grow. A brick and mortar Vines Bakery was a chance to connect, encourage, and celebrate with our community. It was the most sacred season of life. In June of 2023, my husband and I made the incredibly hard decision to close our storefront to move to Columbus. As we begin to grow our own family, I will always look back fondly on our time baking in Ashland.
